How old do you have to be to drive on your own?
We have an age restriction of 10 years and a height requirement of 1.45m (4"9").


My child is too short or too young to drive on their own - what options do you have?
We have dual karts that enable the child to sit beside an adult driver. These are available at no extra cost.


Do I need to book for arrive and drive?
We don’t take bookings for Arrive & Drive. Simply come down & purchase some laps and we’ll get you on the track as soon as possible. Customers are served on a wait-turn basis so busier times such as weekends and holidays may include a short wait.


What do I need to do before I can race?
All drivers must be registered in our system to race. If you have not raced at Kart World before you can register on the day, or beforehand via this link.

How long do 20 laps take to drive?
20 laps usually take between 10 – 15 minutes to complete.


How fast are the karts? Are they all the same speed?
For information on our different levels of karts, visit the Driving Levels page. We do aim to have all karts within running at the same level within their range, however factors such as weight and driving skill will be the biggest factors in your lap times.


Is the racing supervised?
We have experienced and helpful track controllers on duty at all times.


What safety wear/equipment do you provide?
We provide helmets and hairnets. Seatbelts are fitted to the first 2 levels of karts. Drivers must wear enclosed shoes, no sandals or thongs allowed whilst driving.


How long is the track?
The track is over 300 meters long with a good long straight for passing slower drivers, 2 sweeping bends and two hairpin bends. Our track is considered to be the most demanding indoor track in WA.


Are the laps timed?
You will receive a full individual printout of all your lap times at end of your race, overhead monitors also allow you to view your lap times and those of your co-racers whilst on the track.


Is there any bumping etc allowed?
Absolutely not. Any bumping or unsafe driving will result in a warning from the track stewards. Failure to comply with the track rules may result in your removal from the track, whether you have completed your laps or not.


Is karting just a “guy’s sport”?
Definitely not. We are seeing more and more females visiting Kart World and we actively encourage female drivers to experience the thrill of driving a go-kart.
